Funding For Nambucca Shire Community Projects
Member for Oxley, Melinda Pavey MP, is delighted to announce the start of many local projects to come to regional NSW under the NSW Government’s Regional Growth fund.
Mrs Pavey said the government’s investment will provide Nambucca Shire residents with improved facilities that the region can enjoy.

“Our community has been calling out for upgrades to local facilities and I’m thrilled these can now begin.
“Stronger Country Communities funding is an investment in local infrastructure to improve the lives of residents and enhance the attractiveness of our region – this funding will help us do exactly that.”
The projects successfully applied for by Nambucca Shire Council are:
- Bowraville Connections - Amenities Upgrade, BBQ Area and Connecting Path - $130,950
- Macksville Park – New Lighting, kitchen renewal and security fencing replacement at Allan Gillett Oval - $213,050
- Nambucca Heads - Lighting Up Coronation Park - $500,000
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW John Barilaro said the government is committed to supporting regional communities and their crucial infrastructure.
“The Stronger Country Communities fund is a once-in-a-generation investment and it will provide regional towns with the infrastructure they deserve,” Mr Barilaro said.
The Stronger Country Communities fund is part of the NSW Government’s $1.3 billion Regional Growth Fund, designed to improve economic growth and productivity with investment in regional communities.
