Changed traffic conditions at Macksville

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions along the Pacific Highway at Macksville from tonight to enable the delivery of girders as part of the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads Pacific Highway upgrade.
The girders will be transported from Old Coast Road north of Macksville, via the Pacific Highway through Macksville, to the southern side of Warrell Creek near the Pacific Highway and Scotts Head Road intersection.

To minimise impacts the girders will be delivered tonight and tomorrow morning - between 9.30pm and 11.30pm, and 12.30am and 4am.

Due to the slow speed of the girder transportation, motorists are advised to allow up to 30 minutes extra travel time.

Motorists are also advised of designated pullover points and holding bays on the Pacific Highway north and south of Macksville to reduce traffic delays and queue lengths.
A reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists and electronic messaging signs will be in place to advise of changed conditions.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and drive to the conditions.
Roads and Maritime Services thanks the community for its patience while work is carried out.
